Requirements
The Idaho Senior News Graphic Design Department is a PC based environment. If you wish to submit ads on disk, please follow our requirements listed below. For more information on how to prepare digital files please contact the Graphic Design Department at (208) 336-6707

Scanning specifications:
- Photos should be saved the same size that they will be used. 174 dpi and 85 lpi is recommended. Color photos must be in CMYK mode. Save photos and logos as .tiff, .eps, or .pdf files.
- Line art should be scanned as close to actual size as possible at 600 dpi.
- Larger files can be compressed using JPEG.
- Logos, photos, and images from the web are 72 dpi and are not acceptable formats for print.
Typesetting/Ad Layout
We are happy to assist you in designing your advertisement. All rates listed herein include first time layout and typesetting. Extensive copy changes by the advertiser, and typesetting for contracted ads that are cancelled by the advertiser will be billed at a flat rate of $45/hour. All photographic work is subject to additional charges.

Classified Advertising
Classified ads are $20 for 25 words, $.70 per word thereafter. Classified ads can be set in a 1/2 point border with bold type for $35. Advanced payment required.
Terms
- Material deadline is generally the 15th of the month preceding publication. Ad copy or camera ready ads are due no later than the deadline.
- Proofs of typeset copy are available upon request if material is received by the deadline date. The advertiser is responsible for the correctness of the advertisement.
- Advertisers are requested to check the first insertion of ads for errors. Idaho Senior News is not responsible for typesetting incorrectness. Any error should be reported immediately by calling your sales representative.
- Cancellations must be made prior to the final deadline (usually on the 15th of the month preceding publication). Idaho Senior News, Inc, reserves the right to cancel an ad or to require full payment on an ad canceled after the deadline date.
- Advertisers not meeting the terms of the contract will be billed for the full earned (non contract) rate of the advertisement.
- Payment in advance is required for advertisements, unless prior payment arrangements have been made. Credit applications are available from your Idaho Senior News sales representative.
- Accounts are billed on the first of each month and payment is due by the 10th of the month. Overdue accounts will be charged 1 and 1/2 % per month on unpaid balances. Accounts with balances over 60 days will have credit terms withdrawn.
- The publisher reserves the right to change advertising rates with 30 day notice. All valid contracts will be honored through run duration.
- Advertising simulating "news" style must print the word "Advertisement" at the top or bottom of copy.
- All political advertising must include a disclaimer and be paid in full in advance.
- Advertisers and their agents are responsible without limitation for the content of their advertisement. Advertisers agree to hold Idaho Senior News, Inc. and its employees harmless against any resulting claims.
- Advertisements must be truthful and in good taste. The advertiser guarantees that advertising is free of defamatory or deceptive language, and does not infringe on trademarks or copyright.
